Even though everyone expected it, it is still a surprise because of his high level of play. Victor Wembanyama confirmed all the predictions this Monday as he was named the NBA Rookie of the Year after a spectacular season.

The 20-year-old San Antonio Spurs center beat the other two finalists, Chet Holmgren of the Oklahoma City Thunder, and Brandon Miller of the Charlotte Hornets.

‘Wemby’ is the first player in NBA history with at least 1,500 points, 700 rebounds, 250 assists, 250 blocks and 100 triples in a season, a reason important enough to expect even more from him next season.
