Liverpool could snap up $32m ace like Coutinho after ‘months’ working on signing

LIVERPOOL

Even were it not for the troubles that Liverpool has had in front of goal in recent weeks, it would have made sense for the Reds to look at signing another forward this summer. With the expanded Champions League format, there are even more games to squeeze in — and the squad needs to be able to cope with the demands.

Add in the fact that Arne Slot loves a winger and has openly spoken in the past about wanting a lot of them on his roster because of a need to constantly refresh that area of the pitch in-game, and it only seems to make the case for signing another player who can play that role even more of an obvious move.

Liverpool has often moved for some of the best teenage talents around in recent years, snapping up the likes of Harvey Elliottfor cheap fees ahead of their values exploding. That strategy has already begun to pay off, and could do so again in the future with the likes of Ben Doak, Kaide Gordon and Bobby Clark among those vying to come through.

Now, though, links have emerged with another young talent, who admittedly would cost a significant amount more than those other names, but certainly has already shown signs of being on the pathway to the top. Supposedly, Liverpool likes the look of the 21-year-old Spanish talent Alberto Moleiro.
