Thomas Tuchel reveals truth behind Man Utd and Chelsea links

90MIN

Thomas Tuchel has quashed the rumours suggesting he’s been in conversation with Manchester United and former club Chelsea as his tenure with Bayern Munich nears its end.

On Saturday afternoon, Tuchel faced the press to discuss Bayern‘s impending final home match of the season against Wolfsburg, emphasising the team’s primary goal of clinching a victory to rise to second place in the Bundesliga standings before he departs at the end of the season.

Tuchel is believed to be keen on a return to the Premier League, where both United and Chelsea have been linked with his services, but the German boss made it clear he has not yet started discussing his next move.

“There have been no talks with other clubs so far,” Tuchel stressed. “That situation has been clear since February.

“There’s nothing that I want to discuss publicly here and no decision has been made yet. I have to work that out with myself and my coaching team. So this is not a completely selfish decision. That will happen in the next few weeks, calmly.”
