Ange Postecoglou has been told to expect a rough ride from Tottenham fans if his side even takes the lead against Manchester City.
Debate is raging ahead of the Premier League showdown at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where a City victory will keep the title destiny in their own hands. Anything less and it will be advantage Arsenal ahead of Sunday’s final round of games.
The prospect of Spurs – who need to win to keep their faint hopes of securing Champions League football alive – doing their biggest rivals a huge favour is unthinkable for many fans, who have vowed to support City for the night. One of them is former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara, who discussed the dilemma with Ally McCoist on talkSPORT on Tuesday.
“You’re telling me the Spurs fans are going to turn on Ange if they win tonight?” asked McCoist. O’Hara replied: “Big Ange is getting it if we go 1-0 up tonight, he’s getting it. Ange, sort yourself out pal, this isn’t Celtic vs Rangers. This is Tottenham-Arsenal.
