Ex-Arsenal & Barcelona star’s transfer stance revealed

Former Chelsea and Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wants to stay at Marseille despite attracting interest from a Saudi Pro League club.

WHAT HAPPENED?

After leaving Chelsea in the summer of 2023, the Gabon international joined Marseille where he exhibited exceptional form scoring 30 goals across all competitions for the club including 17 in Ligue 1. His impressive performance for the French giants has caught the eye of Saudi Pro League side Al-Shabab, who are reportedly keen on signing the striker, according to L’Équipe.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Foot Mercato, however, claims that despite the Saudi Arabian club’s interest, it is unlikely that the ex-Barcelona player would head to the Middle East this summer as he is happy to see out the remaining two years on his Marseille contract.
