Pep Guardiola is one of the most demonstrative managers in the world, amusingly so at times. Can you imagine what he would be like if Manchester City blew this?

Foden on track to break Ryan Giggs’ record

Man City 2-0 West Ham

This will be Phil Foden’s sixth Premier League title.

He is still only 23.

Foden still has a long way to go in order to reach Ryan Giggs’ record of 13. But Giggs was 26 when he won his sixth, so Foden is ahead of schedule.

‘Sensational’

Chelsea 1-0 Bournemouth

Adrian Mariappa
Former Watford and Crystal Palace defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

It’s a sensational finish from Caicedo, it really is. I’m sure they have already had their goal of the season awards but that would have been right up there as a contender.

GOAL – Man City 2-0 West Ham

Phil Foden (18 mins)

If they’ve taken the blue ribbons off the trophy from last season yet, get them back on.

Goals for Tottenham and Chelsea only spell bad news for Newcastle and Man United’s chances of European football.

As it stands, Newcastle will end the day seventh, meaning their only hopes of European football are via the Europe Conference League, if Manchester City win next weekend’s FA Cup final.

If United finish above Newcastle, they are guaranteed European football of some description next term.

GOAL – Chelsea 1-0 Bournemouth

Brighton 0-0 Man Utd

It is lovely football from Brighton, much of what we’ve come to expect from Roberto De Zerbi’s side. After a lovely passing move, the ball is played out to Valentin Barco on the left, who cuts inside past Aaron Wan-Bissaka, gets a shot off but it is denied by the feet of Andre Onana.

GOAL – Sheffield United 0-1 Tottenham

Dejan Kulusevski

Micky van de Ven wins it back for Spurs near the touchline. It comes back into the middle, slipped through to Dejan Kulusevski and he fires it into the far corner.

That means they have a strong foot through the door to secure Europa League qualification

‘Foden keeps doing wonderful things’

Man City 1-0 West Ham

Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Oh wow.

This young man Phil Foden just keeps doing wonderful things. Just gets better and better every time you see him.

He waits for the move to develop, he is so effective from this central role. He lets the pass from Bernardo Silva run across his body and unleashes a strike with his left foot. Areola has absolutely no chance.

Champions elect.

‘It’s always going to be difficult’

Man City v West Ham (16:00 BST)

Manchester City

Man City boss Pep Guardiola, speaking to PLP: “Focused on the game and not thinking about the consequences – we have to win this game.”

On what will help Man City beat West Ham: “I would say our thoughts, in the game many things will happen you have control your thoughts and control yourself.

“Last game of the season when you play for something important it’s always going to be difficult.”

On Jeremey Doku: “It was a hard decision, Mateo Kovacic has been massively important the last six-to-seven games and he has been dictating our tempo – he was really good.

“I felt West Ham will be defensive in moments and that is why I decided that.”

‘Arsenal have improved on last year but still coming up short’

Arsenal v Everton (16:00 BST)

Glenn Murray
Former Brighton striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

If you look at Arsenal they have progressed and they have been up there challenging but I don’t really think they have exceeded expectations.

They have improved but they are still coming up short as it stands. There is still room for growth there. You look and think maybe they need a centre forward, have scored the second most goals in the league and they are second in the table.

Last season the question was, ‘Can they go again next season?’ Well they have proved that they can and I think there is more to come next year. There needs to be.

City aiming for last-day four-time

Man City v West Ham (16:00 BST)

This is the fourth time in the Sheikh Mansour era Manchester City’s title quest has gone down to the last day.

Bizarrely, they have gone behind in the previous three.

No-one will forget how late they left it in 2012, when Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero scored in injury-time after they had trailed to QPR in a game they had to win.

Five years ago, they also fell behind at Brighton and for 20 minutes were behind Liverpool in the in-play table before they turned it around and won easily.

And, weirdly, whilst they were 2-0 down against Aston Villa a couple of years ago, they were never headed in the table as their fortunes had changed by the time Liverpool got in front in their game against Wolves.

Today, Arsenal are relying on a team who will finish ninth no matter what the result, whose manager is leaving after this game and – more importantly – have lost on all seven visits to the Etihad when Pep Guardiola has been in charge by the combined score of 15-4.
