In Arne Slot’s first official Premier League clash, Liverpool will take on Ipswich Town in a 12:30pm kickoff and the Dutchman has reacted to the news.

Former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp hated one thing about the Premier League, 12:30pm kickoffs, and that is exactly what Liverpool have received for their first clash of the Premier League season. New Reds boss Slot was asked about the clash against Ipswich and he made jokes about the kickoff timing.
WHAT SLOT SAID
Speaking to the media, Slot said: “They’ve told me it’s going to be 12.30… from what I know, Jurgen complained a lot about this so probably they thought, with Jurgen being out let’s put them at 12.30 again!”
THE BIGGER PICTURE
The early 12:30 pm kickoff should not be a problem for Liverpool this time around as it will be the first clash of the season and will not be preceded by a midweek clash, which was Klopp’s main issue with the early kickoff. A number of times his side had to play in the 12:30 pm slot right after a midweek European clash which gave his squad less than 72 hours to prepare for the next clash.
