Enzo Maresca: Chelsea appoint Leicester City boss as new manager on five-year deal

Chelsea has named Enzo Maresca as their new manager on a five-year contract, with an option for an extra year, replacing Mauricio Pochettino.

Maresca, 44, led Leicester City to a Championship title last season. He expressed enthusiasm about joining Chelsea and aims to build a successful team that fans will be proud of. Under the ownership of Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, Chelsea has experienced six managerial changes in five years.

Maresca will begin his tenure on July 1, after the team finished the 2023-24 season in sixth place, qualifying for the Europa Conference League.
