Damian Lillard suffered strained Achilles, status in doubt for Bucks’ Game 4: Sources

Milwaukee Bucks star guard Damian Lillard is in a walking boot after suffering a strained Achilles, league sources said Saturday. His availability for Sunday’s Game 4 against the Indiana Pacers is in serious doubt.

Lillard aggravated the injury in Game 3, which the Bucks lost in overtime to fall down 2-1 in their first-round series. In overtime, Lillard — who scored 28 points on 6-of-20 shooting — didn’t take a single shot.

After the game, Lillard told reporters his Achilles had been hurting since the Bucks’ regular-season finale.

“I just wanted to be on the floor in case opportunity came up or however I could help,” Lillard said regarding playing through the pain in overtime.
