Conversation between referee and VAR for Barcelona’s disallowed goal vs Real Madrid released

BARCA UNIVERSAL

Earlier today, Barcelona president Joan Laporta came out all guns firing against the refereeing in La Liga for Barcelona’s wrongfully disallowed goal against Real Madrid in last night’s Clasico.

The incident in question was from a moment in the game when Lamine Yamal tactfully heeled the ball towards the goal from a corner kick.

The ball went beyond the goal line but was parried away by Andriy Lunin almost simultaneously, creating doubt over its validity.

After a lengthy conversation between the on-field referee and VAR, the goal was cancelled for lack of evidence that the ball crossed the line. Ironically, social media is flooded with evidence of the same.

The Barcelona president, understandably furious at the development, demanded solid proof that the ball did not cross the line and asked for audio and video footage of the play to be released.
