Cole Palmer to miss out on goal bonus despite scoring as many as Erling Haaland

Cole Palmer is set to miss out on receiving a goal bonus.

The Chelsea star is tied with Manchester City hotshot Erling Haaland in the Premier League Golden Boot race following his four-goal haul during the Blues’ rampant win over Everton on Monday night.

But The Sun reports that regardless of whether he claims the prize, no extra money is heading his way as Palmer didn’t negotiate a bonus into the deal that brought him to Stamford Bridge last summer.

The 21-year-old came through the youth academy at Manchester City before going on to make 41 appearances for Pep Guardiola‘s side.

Despite being highly rated by City, Palmer took the decision to leave the treble-winners as he looked to kick on and prove himself as one of the Premier League’s top performers.
