Barcelona ‘draft’ legal complaint to demand El Clasico replay

TRIBUNA

Barcelona plan to file a legal complaint and demand the replay of the Real Madrid clash, reports Cadena SER‘s Adria Soldevila.

This is set to be the club’s reaction to the Technical Committee of Referees refusing to show them the images and audios recorded during Lamine Yamal’s goal check.

Barca think they could succeed in their demand. Together with the club’s legal department, they’ve taken into account a precedent that took place in the Belgian Pro League this season: Anderlecht beat Genk 2-1, with a likely Genk goal unfairly disallowed by both the referee and the VAR. The visitors officially demanded a replay and their request was approved; however, the Belgian Court of Arbitration withdrew the decision after Anderlecht’s appeal, so the match was not replayed.
